about
Dr. Frederick Martin of His Servant Ministries of Ferguson, Kentucky allowed me to spend a week in Ferguson, with all expense paid, food and shelter and 24/7 access to his recording studio. He even reimbursed half of my flight. All is asked is that I be a blessing to someone the way he was for me.
Of course, this wouldn't have even came to be if it weren't for connecting with Judy Chanthalangsy at the SEAC conference in March of 2010. She told me a little about Dr. Martin and his ministry that serves in the fields of Laos and about his recording studio. I took it as a nice gesture but she held her word and in May I flew to Kentucky.
That's where I had a chance to connect with CD (Judy's cousin) who was also aspiring to record music. He sings, plays the guitar, lead worship and even helped on my tracks. It was a blessing to get to know the brother in Christ.
I also met Maria McNeil, who happened to be in town to visit her family. She helped on the album with incredible vocal talents along with her dad helping out by adding some violins to the tracks.
With only one week to work with, you can tell I had to put in work and sacrifice much sleep. At one point that I can recalled, within 72 hours I had only 7 hour of sleep. But the project did get to be completed and this is the result.
I hope you enjoy it and may it be a blessing to you.
